Unique grouping of ink blotters used by Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower, resulting in several overlapping, mirror-image examples of their signatures made by the offsetting of blotted ink. Includes two off-white 4.75 x 3 cards (one double-sided) used by Franklin D. Roosevelt, attributed to the papers of his personal secretary Grace Tully; and a 4.75 x 3 folded card used by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, inscribed in pencil by his executive clerk, "To Paul Carr: I used this blotter to blot the President's signature in an official document. William J. Hopkins." Includes a vintage glossy 7 x 9 photo of FDR using such a blotter, and a modern 7 x 5 photo of Eisenhower signing a document. In overall fine condition.
From the Collection of Paul K. Carr, former UACC President and Noted Expert.
