TLS as president signed “Jerry Ford,” one page, 6.75 x 8.75, White House letterhead, September 20, 1974. Letter to the Hon. Edna F. Kelly, in part: "I can't tell you how pleased I am to have your good wishes as I begin my duties as President, and I know you will understand that the delayed response in no way diminishes my appreciation. Having your support is most heartwarming and encouraging, and I'll do my utmost to continue to merit your high regard." In fine condition. Ford had just been inaugurated as president on August 9, 1974, following Nixon's resignation.
