Description

"I am so glad that you enjoyed ‘Streetcar'"

TLS, one page, 5.5 x 7.25, personal letterhead, June 21, 1950. Letter to Iris Stanley, in full: “The china Siamese is adorable and I think it most sweet of you to have sent it to me. I am so glad that you enjoyed ‘Streetcar.’ It was such a difficult and arduous play, and one of my main pleasures was to think of some of you who understood and appreciated it, coming again and again. I can assure you that it was most encouraging. Take care of yourself, and I hope to see you when I come back in the Autumn. With all my grateful good wishes.” In very fine condition. Accompanied by a glossy 8 x 10 Warner Bros. publicity photo of Vivien Leigh as Blanche from A Streetcar Named Desire.
