Influential English art critic and writer (1819-1900) remembered as a champion of the work of J.M.W. Turner. ALS signed “J. Ruskin,” one page, 5.25 x 8, no date. Handwritten letter to "Mr. Hogarth," regarding the loan and sale of artwork. In part: "I have brought back your Lewis's with thanks for loan of them. I have your receipted account. Enclosed a list of the etchings you may have—any of them—whenever you like. I shall neither raise nor lower." In very good to fine condition, with light creasing, and moderate toning from prior display. Accompanied by the original transmittal envelope, addressed in Ruskin's hand and signed in the lower left, "J. Ruskin."
