Vintage glossy 8 x 10 three-quarter-length portrait of the author seated with a cigarette in hand, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Sam Stratton, great trouper, Sinclair Lewis, Chicago, March 19, 1939.” Reverse bears a "Photograph by Talbot" credit stamp. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing, a light paperclip impression, and old tape to the edges (which could be matted out if desired).
