Extremely early vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 photo of McFarland at the outset of his Our Gang career, adorably signed and inscribed as a child in fountain pen, "To 4 4 Lucille, fron 3 Spanky." The section "Okey Dokey Spanky" is inherent to the original photograph. In fine condition, with a small stain to the upper left corner. Accompanied by the original Hal Roach Studios transmittal envelope.
