ALS signed “Z. G.,” one page, 7.25 x 10.25, personal letterhead, May 20, 1935. Handwritten letter to Edward Cave, in part: "When…the new rifle is announced, then I'll write a very few words without being '(I told you so') and ('who laughs last laughs best)' and then forget it. But if the Winchester people didn't build the new 1906 rifle, then I'd be pretty sore." He adds a postscript, also signed "Z. G.," in full: "Your opinion as to the reason these gun writers talk as they talk is highly significant." In fine condition. Accompanied by a carbon copy of the Edward Cave Company's response, offering further information on Winchester's new rifle.
