Scarce official’s ‘Jury of Appeal’ badge issued for the 1932 Los Angeles Olympic Games, 38 mm x 40 mm, 14 gm, manufactured by Whitehead & Hoag of Newark. The badge features the Olympics rings over a shield and laurel branch, with “Xth Olympiad Los Angeles” above, and an engraved tablet below, “Official.” The orange ribbon is lettered in gilt, “Jury of Appeal,” and suspends an additional 83 mm. The reverse of the badge bears the maker’s mark and the reverse of the ribbon bears an affixed label: “Not good for admittance at any stadium.”
