Printed preface honoring French poet Paul Valery, two pages both sides, 8 x 10.5, signed and inscribed at the head in fountain pen, "I am happy to dedicate this preface to Mr. O. Saint Guirel in memory of Paul Valery, June 14, 1957, Louis de Broglie." In very fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in de Broglie's own hand and incorporating his full name, "Louis de Broglie," in the return address on the flap.
