ALS signed “Sgt. Alvin C. York,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, October 23, 1951. Handwritten letter to Hon. Kenneth Crowell, in part: "Will say as far as I know now, I will be at home, Nov. 11 51 and I don't know which Jamestown you speak about in your letter. If Jamestown Ky then I'll say south some 40 miles to my farm. If Jamestown Tennessee then I'll say north some 10 miles to my farm…I am thinking of throwing my hat in the ring for President, if Harry don't run. I am just waiting to see. My friends across the country would like to see me in the field this time—1952." In fine condition. A fascinating letter expressing his political aspirations and referring to Veterans Day, November 11th.
