UK vinyl pressing of the 1985 Smiths album Meat Is Murder, signed on the front cover in black grease pencil by Morrissey, Andy Rourke, and Mike Joyce, and in blue ballpoint by Johnny Marr. The consignor notes that the signatures date to around the album’s release date. In fine condition. The record is included. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks and by a letter of authenticity from a previous owner: “I ran a Record Shop called Phase One Records in Wrexham in the 1980s. We used Probe Records in Liverpool as an Independent Music Supplier and Geoff Davies who ran that (legendary) establishment gave me the Smiths - Meat is Murder vinyl album, signed by all four of the original members, when I was moving on from the shop. Geoff knew the Smiths personally (and many up-and-coming bands and artists during that period) and he gave it to me because we had sold so many of their early independent records, through the arrangement with Probe.”
