Soldier and politician (1731-1785) who served in the Connecticut Assembly and commanded the garrison of Forty Fort in the Wyoming Valley during the Revolutionary War. Revolutionary War-dated manuscript DS, signed "Zeb'n Butler, Col. 1st Conn't Reg't," one page, 9 x 6.5, January 19, 1783. Document regarding the military service of Amos Parker, certifying that he "served in the late 6th Connecticut Regiment before the year 1780." Signed at the conclusion by Butler. In fine condition, with light toning along the folds.
