Stage actress and manager (1826-1873) whose company was playing Our American Cousin at Ford's Theatre on the night of Lincoln's assassination. After he was shot, she entered his box and tried to comfort him, cradling his head in her lap. Ink signature, "Laura Keene, Chicago, Oct. 8th, 1872," on an off-white 4.5 x 2.75 card. In fine condition.
