Garry Peterson's personally-owned and -used 1963 Ludwig Super-Sensitive chromed aluminum snare drum, used on The Guess Who's first two albums, Wheatfield Soul and Canned Wheat, both released in 1969. The drum is signed on the bottom in black felt tip, "Garry Peterson, The Guess Who." Includes a pair of Peterson's unused personal Vater Percussion drumsticks, and a letter of provenance signed by Peterson, in part: "This drum was used on the entire recording of the Guess Who's first two albums…This drum was also used on tour for several years with the original Guess Who band." These included several hits, such as 'These Eyes,' 'No Time,' ' Undun,' and 'Laughing.'
Additionally includes an RPM Gold Leaf Award, "Presented to The Guess Who, Voted Top Vocal Instrumental Group, 1965." The award is a wooden obelisk, measuring 4″ x 17″ x 4″, with engraved plaques on the front. In fine condition. Accompanied by three images of Peterson with the items at the time of their initial sale.
