Two items signed by Scott Carpenter: a TLS, one page, 8 x 9.5, March 15, 1963, in part: "Thank you for the letter…The message conveyed made me realize that people are truly interested in the space program. Although the project has been achieved because of the efforts of many who have worked directly with it, the interest and support of the people has reatly contributed to its success"; and an official vintage color 8 x 10 NASA lithograph of Carpenter with a Mercury 7 pin on his lapel, neatly signed in black felt tip. In very good to fine condition, with edge toning to the letter, and overall rippling and creasing to the photo.
