Italian painter and a leading member of the Futurist movement (1883-1966). ALS in Italian, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 9 x 11, Movimento Futurista letterhead, May 12, 1913. Handwritten letter to a gallerist, penned on the desirable letterhead of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti's Futurist movement. In part (translated): "I have been in Paris for ten days and I have visited you but you weren’t there. I would have great pleasure to speak to you but your concierge tells me you would stay in the country. Perhaps you would find the way to come to Paris. In London I have had very serious success in the press. Much above my hopes. The sales could nevertheless go a little better. They are asking me to do retrospectives so I have decided to send to London everything I still have of my old paintings. Could you please tell me when and how I could go and take back the things I still have with you without disturbing you too much." In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, light edge toning, scattered faint stains, and a short tear to the bottom of the second page.
