Railroad industrialist (1821-1900) known as one of the 'Big Four' of western railroading. Partly-printed DS, signed “C. P. Huntington,” one page, 11.5 x 7.5, July 10, 1887. Stock certificate for 100 shares in the Cincinnati, Indianapolis, St. Lous & Chicago Railway Company issued to Huntington, endorsed by him on the reverse to transfer the shares. Also signed at the conclusion by Melville Ezra Ingalls as the company's president. The original receipt remains affixed along the left edge. In fine condition.
