DS, one page, 7 x 10.25, October 20, 1961. A standard AFTRA engagement contract between Ben E. King and Click Corporation (WFIL Radio and Television), with the former agreeing to perform on American Bandstand on the very date of this contract. Signed at the conclusion in green ink by King, and countersigned by Dick Clark, who signs "R. W. Clark, Pres." Matted with a James J. Kriegsmann photo of King to an overall size of 18.25 x 12.75. In fine condition, with discoloration only to the matted photo, which could easily be replaced. King appears to have been hired as a performer at the last moment; under the 'Rehearsal' section, a secretarial hand has penned in "none."
