Description

American writer and lecturer (1888-1955) who is best known for his books How to Win Friends and Influence People and How to Stop Worrying and Start Living. Vintage matte-finish 9.25 x 7.25 photo of Carnegie seated and posing with a happy infant, displayed within its original 13.25 x 12.75 studio mat, which is signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "My dear 'Big,' I have placed you in charge of my life work here in New York. I have done so because of my faith in you and my admiration for you. May God keep on loving you always. Dale Carnegie.” The mat is signed by the photography studio in pencil, "Frank // Bauer." Reverse is dated to October 7, 1952. In fine condition, with some light silvering to the perimeter of the image.
