Famous for his blues harmonica playing (1930-1968), he was the first and only musician to ever be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for harmonica. While taking a break during a performance in the South Side of Chicago, he was involved in a fight and would eventually succumb to his injuries the next day. Rare vintage ballpoint signature and inscription (spelling retained), "Little Walta, Bastta to Pall, By By,” on a light blue 4.5 x 6 album page, the reverse of which is signed by legendary jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald. Collector's notations date the Walter signature to October 23, 1954. In fine condition, with light creasing along the right side.
