Letter to John McNamara, in full: "I have a letter from Mr. Morgenthau's private secretary, advising that Mr. Morgenthau is away on a vacation, but that your case will be looked into and anything that can be done will be done. They promise to let me know more about this later." He adds a handwritten postscript: "Damn sorry you haven't gotten placed yet. Good luck." In fine condition, with light show-through at the corners from old mounting residue on the back.
