Her career was derailed by alcoholism, and she died of a heart attack at age 34. Lovely vintage glossy 8 x 10 Universal photo of Shannon in the gown which she wore in Night Life of the Gods, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Saul, Best wishes, Peggy Shannon." Reverse of photo bears a collector's stamp date of January 16, 1935, the date the signature was acquired, as well as printed promotional information. In fine condition, with a few scattered light creases.
