Controversial black revolutionary and civil rights activist (1933-1975) remembered for his countercultural activities in 1960s London. He fled to his native Trinidad and Tobago in 1971, where he founded a black power agricultural commune. When the butchered bodies of two followers were found on the premises, he was found guilty of murder and sentenced to death by hanging. Rare vintage matte-finish 10 x 8 photo of Michael X during his time in London, signed in the lower border in black felt tip, "Peace & Love, Michael Abdul Malik." In very good condition, with overall creasing, including a vertical crease passing through Michael's image.
