Brazilian lawyer and politician (born 1882) who served as Brazil's president during two periods: from 1930 to 1945, and from 1951 until his suicide in 1954. Vargas led Brazil for 18 years, the longest of any president. Vintage pearl-finish 4.75 x 6.75 close-up photo of Gertudi Vargas, signed vertically in fountain pen. The photo is affixed to its original 9.25 x 11.5 mount. In very good to fine condition, with creasing to the image, and light soiling to the mount.
