French painter and lithographer (1867-1947). He trained at the Académie Julien, then joined the group called Les Nabis, which included Denis and Vuillard, with whom he formed the intimist group. ALS in French, signed "P. Bonnard," penned on the reverse of 4.5 x 5.75 'carte lettre' postmarked on February 21, 1923. Quick handwritten letter to Gustave Coquiot, an art historian, collector, and a secretary of French sculptor Auguste Rodin. In part (translated): "I found my line at…I thank you-You will find at the same place a little roll of gray paper containing a rough drawing." Addressed on the reverse by Bonnard. In fine condition.
