Vintage circa 1960s clothbound autograph book, measuring 8.25 x 3 open, signed inside on adjacent pages in blue ballpoint by the Beatles—“George Harrison,” “Ringo Starr,” “Paul McCartney,” and “John Lennon.” The consignor notes that the signatures were obtained at the Odeon Theatre in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England on November 1, 1963. The show was the opening night of the band’s 1963 autumn tour, during which they performed ‘I Saw Her Standing There,’ ‘From Me to You,’ ‘All My Loving,’ ‘You Really Got a Hold On Me,’ ‘Roll Over Beethoven,’ ‘Boys,’ ‘Till There Was You,’ ‘She Loves You,’ ‘Money (That’s What I Want),’ and ‘Twist and Shout.’ In fine condition.
Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks and by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, which reads: ‘In 1963 I saw the Beatles perform in Cheltenham. My brother at that time was a serving police officer and went backstage with my autograph book and personally asked each Beatle in turn to sign the book which they happily did.”
