ALS signed “W. G. Sumner,” one page, 4.5 x 7, December 23, 1892. Handwritten letter to C. E. Young, in part: "On my return from Europe I find here yrs of June 20, wh. as printed matter, was not forwarded to me. In reply I wd say that I accept the appointment on the Advisory Council on African Ethnology." In fine condition, with rusty circular paperclip impressions to the top, as well as a faint red notation.
