The last heir apparent to the Bavarian throne (1869-1955) who, during the first half of the First World War, commanded the 6th Army on the Western Front. From August 1916, he commanded Army Group Rupprecht of Bavaria, which occupied the sector of the front opposite the British Expeditionary Force. Vintage matte-finish 3.75 x 5.5 portrait of Rupprecht, Crown Prince of Bavaria, posing in his uniform, signed below in ink. The lower right corner is blindstamped by the Munich photography studio. Affixed to the original mount and in fine condition.
