Austrian composer (1895-1981) who specialized in operetta and film music. Vintage matte-finish 6.25 x 8.75 portrait of Dostal, signed and inscribed in white ink in German (translated), "To my dear colleague Rober Bicher, Most cordially, Nico Dostal, Vienna 1947." Dostal also adds a four-bar musical quotation to the lower left. In fine condition. Dostal is uncommon in autograph material, particularly in items of this vintage; the recipient, Robert Bicher, composed the operetta 'Sag es mit Musik' [Say it in Music].
