Four items signed by a Mercury astronaut: a TLS signed “Donald K. Slayton,” Project Mercury stationery, October 2, 1961, addressed to Marquita Park, in part: “I have enclosed an autographed photograph, as you requested”; the referenced signed photo: a glossy 7.5 x 10 NASA portrait, signed and inscribed in black ink, “Best wishes to Marquita Park—Donald K. Slayton”; and two glossy 8 x 10 photos of John Glenn and Gordon Cooper in their space suits, individually signed in felt tip, with Glenn adding the inscription, “To Laura—,” and Cooper adding, “Best wishes to John Hilosky.” In overall fine condition, with a surface impression on Slayton's chin from another item he signed on top of this one.
