Description

Partly-printed DS as president, signed “Wm. H. Taft,” one page, 20.5 x 15.5, November 5, 1912. President Taft appoints Frederic H. Pomroy as a "Major in the Quartermaster Corps, subject to examination required by law, in the service of the United States." Signed crisply at the conclusion by William H. Taft, and countersigned by Acting Secretary of War Robert Shaw Oliver. The blue War Office seal remains affixed to the lower left. Archivally framed to an overall size of 24.75 x 19.75. In very good to fine condition, with creasing to the side edges.
