Attractive original glossy 10.5 x 6.25 double-weight photo of the ‘Sky Blue,’ the fishing boat of Captain Laurie D. Mitchell, hauling from its stern a large Mako shark, with reverse marked in purple ink by Zane Grey: “Towing home a Mako.” Upper right of the photo bears Grey’s blindstamp. In fine condition, with some toning in the borders. Mitchell was one of Grey’s crew that joined him over many fishing expeditions.
