DS, one page, 8.5 x 11, May 21, 1936. An official letter to MGM, in part: "Concurrently herewith you have loaned me the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1500.00). I hereby agree that said sum and all other sums which you may hereafter loan me shall be, after September 1, repayable to you upon demand, and you may, at your option, apply all or any portion of the compensation payable to me under the provisions of my contract with you dated April 17, 1936 to the repayment of said loan or loans, at the rate of $1000. per week." Signed at the conclusion in ink by John Barrymore. In fine condition.
