TLS signed “C. A. Lindbergh,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, January 10, 1931. Letter to Dr. Isaiah Bowman, head of the American Geographical Society. In full: "Mrs. Lindbergh and I want to thank you for our very pleasant and interesting afternoon at the American Geographical Society Friday. We enjoyed the afternoon immensely." In very good to fine condition, with creasing to the lower right corner, and a few small stains. The American Geographical Society figured prominently in Lindbergh's promotion of aviation and, more specifically, the role of navigation and geography in how an aircraft could get from one point to another in a safe and timely manner.
