Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Maryland (1741-1811) and Associate Justice of the Supreme Court from 1796 until his death. Ink signature, "Samuel Chase,” on an off-white 2.25 x .5 slip, dated 1764, affixed to a larger 7.75 x 7.5 sheet annotated with biographical information. In very good condition, with light overall staining and a slit through the center of the slip.
