Description

DS, signed “E. R. Burroughs,” two pages, 8.5 x 13, February 16, 1927. Agreement between Burroughs and publisher A. C. McClurg & Co. for the publication of "a manuscript entitled The Outlaw of Torn." The novel's retail price will be set at $2.00, and Burroughs is to receive royalties of 15% on the first 10,000 copies sold, and 20% thereafter. Signed at the conclusion by Burroughs, and countersigned by Joseph E. Bray, president of A. C. McClurg, as well as two witnesses. Also includes a document dated October 8, 1927, signed by Bray, conveying to Grosset & Dunlap the rights to reprint Burroughs' novels The War Chief and The Outlaw of Torn. In fine condition.
