TLS as president, one page, 7 x 8.75, White House letterhead, February 15, 1908. Letter to Rev. Samuel McChord Crothers, in full: "No letter could be more welcome than yours, and surely you must know it. Now, can not you get on here for a day or two soon and dine with us? There are two or three people I should like to have you meet. What day could you come? I am very fond of Bunyan and so is Mrs. Roosevelt; and therefore your letter is all the more welcome!" Roosevelt makes a couple handwritten corrections to the text and then adds a postscript below: "Can't you get here next Thursday for the Army & Navy reception, & its super afterwards, and come to lunch next day also?" In fine condition.
