Description

ALS signed “P. H. Sheridan, Lieut. Gen'l U. S. Army,” one page, 4.5 x 7, March 31, 1871. Letter to Henry Holland, in part: "I am sorry to have been out when you called today. You had left the Hotel but a few minutes when I came in. The servant said you left word that you desired Gnl. Forsyth & myself to breakfast with you on Monday or Tuesday of next week. We would be most happy to breakfast with you on next Tuesday if agreeable to you." In fine condition.
