Description

Swedish writer (1858-1940) who, in 1909, became the first woman to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. Scarce ink signature, "Labor omnia vincit [Work conquers all], Selma Lagerlof,” on an off-white 5.25 x 3 card. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, postmarked September 28, 1923.
