German composer, pianist, and teacher of Polish-Jewish descent (1854-1925) who was well respected and popular during the late nineteenth century. Two items: an AMQS on an off-white 4.75 x 2.5 sheet, signed above in black ink by Moritz Moszkowski, who adds four bars of music to a work entitled "Danse espagnole"; and an untranslated ALS in German, one page, 4.5 x 7, May 17, 1889. In overall very good to fine condition, with soiling to the musical quotation, and corner loss to the letter. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
