Days after the final "David Frost interview"

TLS, one page, 6 x 8.25, personal letterhead, June 1, 1977. Letter to John V. Defenderfer, in full: "I wish to express my deep appreciation for your thoughtful message with regard to the David Frost interview. Mrs. Nixon joins me in sending our very best wishes." Matted and framed to an overall size of 11 x 14. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, which bears a preprinted Nixon franking signature. The Nixon interviews were a series of conversations between former President Richard Nixon and British journalist David Frost. The sit-downs aired in four installments in May 1977, with the last occurring on May 26th, less than a week before Nixon wrote this letter.
