Israeli politician (1918-1980) who was a commander of the Palmach and a general in the IDF. He also served as one of the leaders of Ahdut HaAvoda party and the Israeli Labor party, and was for a period the acting Prime Minister of Israel. ALS in Hebrew, one page, 6.25 x 8.25, The Knesset letterhead, December 12, 1955. Letter to Avraham Shadmon, in part (translated): "Before I provide to you what you have requested, I will ask you to supply additional details about the book (or the album) 'Personalities in Israel.' What is the connection between it and the book by the profile writer of the same name…? Who is the publisher? What is the purpose of the album and what is the reason for its publication? Who is behind this initiative and so on…?" In very good to fine condition, with light creasing, a bit of edge staining, two file holes, and dampstaining to several words of text.
