Russian-born American pianist, conductor and composer (1878-1936) who married Clara Clemens, daughter of Samuel L. Clemens. AMQS on an off-white 5.75 x 7.75 sheet signed and inscribed in French in fountain pen (translated), "To Mrs Ditson, with thanks for her extreme kindness, Ossip Gabrilowitsch, New York, le 14 Nov. 1900," who adds three bars of music from his work, "Gavotte." In fine condition, with old tape on the back of the upper corners, and toning from prior display.
