ALS as president signed “George,” one page, 6.25 x 4.25, The President letterhead, March 11, 1990. Letter to actor Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., in full: "Loved the anecdote on the wasp that stung twice." In fine condition, with a light paperclip impression to the left edge. Accompanied by the original White House transmittal envelope. In addition to his career in movies, Fairbanks was a decorated naval officer who served as a gunnery officer on the USS Wasp during World War II.
