Description

ALS, one page, 5 x 8, New York Tribune letterhead, October 5, 1872. Letter to carriage blacksmith trade journalist J. L. H. Mosier, in part: "I wish I could attend your festival…because of my deep interest in the problem of cooperation between capital and labor which you are engaged in working out. Your beginning is cautious and tentative as the wise beginnings of every great reform ever are and must be; but your success will lead to further and greater advances on the road you are nobly opening." In very good to fine condition, with light creasing and soiling.
