Description

ALS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, August 22, 1931. Letter to George Horace Lorimer, editor of The Saturday Evening Post, in full: "My secretary Harry E. Ross has wired you. Your suggestive price is entirely satisfactory. I cannot prevent speculation but will do the best I can to avoid any public statement of the writers of my article until it is published. You can select a title. If I do not like it I will wire you. Better not wire me or telephone me. No one but my secretary knows of the article. Better keep all reference to it off your pay check." In fine condition, with a somewhat fuzzy quality to the ink due to onetime exposure to moisture.
