Vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 studio portrait of the great Irish tenor in an uncommon 'floating head' pose, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen, "With very warmest greetings and best regard to my very dear old friend Donald Brian and his family from their friend John McCormack, Nov. 6th 1934.” Signed in the lower left corner by the photographer, Ray Lee Jackson, whose NBC Studios credit stamp is on the reverse. In fine condition, with light rippling and a few small spots of silvering. McCormack remains scarce in signed photographs, especially so in examples of this size.
