Description

Art historian (1865-1959) specializing in the Renaissance, he established the market for paintings by the 'Old Masters.' ALS signed “B. Berenson,” one page, 5.5 x 7, Saint-James & Albany Hotel letterhead, June 17, 1909. Letter to "My Dear Field," in full: "If you are here let me know as I should be charmed to see you. I remain till July 1. Do you happen to know the whereabouts of Edith Burrows." In fine condition, with scattered light soiling. Accompanied by an unsigned postcard.
