American League uniform player's contract in which Whitey Ford agrees to render "skilled services as a baseball player/and Coach during the year 1964" for the New York Yankees, for a salary of $53,000. Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Ford, American League President Joe Cronin, and Yankees general manager Ralph Houk. In fine condition, with slight areas of toning. In his thirteenth season as a Yankee, Ford served as both a pitching coach and a starting pitcher, amassing 17 wins and making his eighth All-Star team.
