In very good to fine condition, with light irregular toning, and staple holes to the upper left corner. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Robinson was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in the year of this letter, 1962. He had encouraged voters to evaluate his candidacy solely on the basis of his on-field merits, rather than on his cultural impact as the first black Major Leaguer, and he was elected on the first ballot.
